The inspiration for this trend comes from a truly ethereal feel. Shapes are free flowing and feminine with the main focus on pastel botanicals and Japanese blossoms. We incorporated it into sheer necklines, tiered dresses and glittering embellishments.
How have you incorporated this trend into your 2019 collection? With this collection, we wanted to create a sophisticated move from the previous seasonal floral trends. Our designs have a romantic, dreamy feel created in a palette of reds, dusky pinks and chalky greys. We have married nude mesh with delicate embroidery and luxurious embellishments to elevate the trend.
How do you want girls to feel when wearing your designs? We want the Forever Unique girl to feel empowered, glamorous, feminine and, above all else, confident. We design all our garments for that head-turning appeal.
To bring high-end runway glitz and glam to the prom industry.
How have you incorporated this trend into your 2019 collection? There are several dresses with glitzy elements combined with layers of details like embroidery, beading and prints. These inherently seductive elements allow every girl to feel unique and glamorous. I love being able to create that feeling for every young woman who wears one of my designs.

What is your favorite part about being a designer? Creating something new and exciting that’s never existed before is what motivates me to continue designing season after season. I love reinventing myself and keeping up with the fast pace of the fashion industry. For me, it’s a huge thrill.
Nowadays, women are so proud to embrace their natural self and beautiful body. Thus, rather than designing gowns with heavy beading and overpowering details, we focused on creating a collection where the simplicity of the gowns and amazing fit, beautifully highlight the natural curves of a woman’s body.
How do you want girls to feel when wearing your designs? I want women to feel confident, elegant, beautiful, empowered and most importantly – themselves.
Do you have a specific research process when you start designing a new collection? Many of my designs are inspired by my travels and interactions with people from all parts of the world. Once I’ve established a “mood” for a collection, I source new fabrics and create mood boards reflecting my overall concept for the line, followed by a series of sketches.
Across the fashion spectrum high to low, we are seeing this trend from ready-to-wear to haute couture. It’s a flirty way to highlight one of the most beautiful parts of a woman and conceal what may not be her favorite feature.
How have you incorporated this trend into your 2019 collection? This season, we have many takes on the classic theme. We have incorporated ruffles, fringe, asymmetrical cutting and the classic slim fitted sleeve into this look. We have offerings with coverage as well as more revealing necklines. This is a trend that will flatter everyone from a size 0 to a size 30.
What is your favorite part about being a designer? I believe there are two dresses every woman in America remembers: her prom gown and her wedding gown. In the last three decades, my gowns have contributed to these women’s unforgettable experiences. I am thrilled that thousands of people have made me a part of their important milestones.
I love the way ostrich feathers move and flow. They remind me of coral swaying effortlessly on the ocean floor with the current of the water.
Do you have a specific research process when you start designing a new collection? I always try to get into the mind of the customer I see wearing the garment I am designing. I want to visualize who is she? Where is she going? What is she wearing? And how much does she want to pay for it?

Do you have a specific research process when you start designing a new collection?
Yes. Collecting inspiration from my daily life. It can be from magazines, a billboard from the street, or a handcraft from a small shop. So before I actually start designing, I go through all of my collections and gain insight.
How have you incorporated this trend into your 2019 collection? Trends in fashion come and go. But my goal is to provide a timeless piece.
