This summer, we invited six top design influencers to experience AmericasMart and launch our ‘Shop the Show’ program, creating a curated collection of their favorite market picks in the process! We recently caught up with Brittany Watson Jepsen of The House That Lars Built, a craft and design lifestyle website focused on artful living, for her thoughts on all things Atlanta Market. As part of the inaugural group of Shop the Show influencers, Brittany scouted out plenty of tomorrow’s sizzling trends, and had tons of fun finds and takeaways to share!
Brittany’s Shop the Show collection: Everlasting, patina, fresh
Favorite Market Trends? “I had a fabulous time scouting all the showrooms and picking up on the trends. My favorite trend were the fresh color palettes in bold pops of color. I spotted a bold hunter green. You don’t normally think of bold when you think of hunter green, but in a space where everything else is neutral and--boom--you have a hunter green armoire, it’s striking and unforgettable! There were a number of baby items I noticed in fresh color palettes too: mustards and mints, and pinks. Those sunset colors get me everytime!”
“Feeling like you’re in Provence is a major plus...if I can’t be there, I might as well live as though I’m there!”

Favorite Market Find? “There was a lovely antique clock that I was stoked to find from etúHome...I’ve always wanted a Swedish clock! etúHome had some beautiful one-of-a-kind finds intermixed with gorgeous reproductions. It’s the best way to feel like you’re in Europe and I never wanted to leave!”

“I made the mistake a couple of times of not wearing super comfortable shoes—MISTAKE! Don’t repeat! If you want to cover some major ground, you’ve got to make it comfortable if you’re going to traverse the labyrinth!”
“I also made the mistake of thinking that I’d have time to go back to showrooms. Nope! There are just so many to go through that it’s best to assume that it’s your first and last time in each stop.”
“One thing that caught me by surprise was the amount of treats and food that showrooms provide. Ha! You didn’t even need to leave the building.”
“I believe if you live with beautiful things you’ll live a more thoughtful and intentional life.”
Keep an eye out for even more market finds, tips & takeaways from our talented group of Shop the Show tastemakers, coming soon!
