This July, AmericasMart celebrated the third season of one of our most popular influencer programs, Shop the Show! For season three, we invited top design talents Ashley Rose of Sugar & Cloth, Anissa and Brian Zajac of House Seven Design, Landyn Hutchinson of Living with Landyn, and blogger and designer Monika Hibbs. These trendsetters were invited to scout the Atlanta International Gift & Home furnishings Market at AmericasMart for the most desired trends of 2019 and beyond. This energetic and innovative group curated custom collections of the best home decor, gift, tabletop and seasonal merchandise that AmericasMart has to offer, sharing their finds on their social channels (and ours!) in real time as they shopped the Market. Each hosted their own special presentation including a meet & greet, and the group co-hosted a Friday night floor party along with some of Shop the Show's fabulous sponsors. Read on for a sneak peek behind the scenes of all of July's #ShoptheShowATL events!
This season's festivities kicked off with a must-see event from each of our influencers with a meet & greet afterwards. On Thursday, July 11th, Ashley Rose treated guests to a summer entertaining presentation featuring her signature five-minute bruschetta and skinny jalapeno margarita. Husband and wife team Anissa and Brian Zajac got into the nuts & bolts of social media during their "Inside Instagram" seminar. The duo shared advice on leveraging Instagram to redefine your business model, as well as practical tips to creating the most meaningful content and engagement to grow an online community.
On Friday, July 12th, Landyn Hutchinson showed guests how to create a warm and inviting party at home at her event, "Girl's Night In! Easy Entertaining & Cocktails." She delighted the crowd with a goat cheese, pistachio, and honey appetizer and refreshing rosemary margarita, while sharing her expert hostess tips on simple party setup and styling. Her fellow lifestyle blogger Monika Hibbs participated in an intimate Q&A with Rue editor Kelli Lamb called "Beyond the Blog," targeted at designers who want to expand into a multi-faceted brand. In their talk, they offered valuable advice and out-of-the-box strategies to creatives trying to grow a platform beyond blogging and social media.
The fun continued on Friday evening at Bohemian Escape, our official Shop the Show Soiree. Guests were invited to join us for an evening bohemian event where they could get to know our influencers at a floor-wide cocktail party. Ashley, Landyn, Monika, Anissa and her husband/business partner Brian mixed and mingled with the crows, sharing their thoughts on the market experience and their favorite finds so far. Our 400+ attendees were treated to a delicious charcuterie spread, mini-dessert station, and of course custom Shop the Show and Bohemian Escape cookies! Roaming bar carts walked the floor, and for those who were ready to raise a glass of bubbly, our champagne and cotton candy wall was a sweet treat. Gorgeous dried floral and paper arrangements adorned the corridors, and custom ice sculptures sparkled under the lights. Two gorgeously styled photo op vignettes allowed guests to cut loose and snap a few selfies, and the party atmosphere flowed with a live DJ providing music all night long. We know we say this every season, but Bohemian Escape may have been our favorite soiree to date-- it was truly a night to remember!
We are always so thrilled at the excitement and energy displayed by our influencers and all the attendees of our Shop the Show events-- it continues to be one of the signature programs of market season! With a combined social media reach of 1.25M followers of AmericasMart, our influencers and social media partners, Shop the Show continues to grow and capture the imagination of both market-goes and the thousands following along at home. As always, we're already looking ahead to next Market with bigger and bolder plans than ever, but we wanted to take a moment to thank all those whose hard work and enthusiasm made this season such a success.
Watch this space in the coming weeks for some final thoughts and favorite market moments from our influencers, but in the meantime, read on for a teaser from each of our Shop the Show tastemakers!
Market newcomer Ashley Rose of Sugar & Cloth had an inspiring first trip to Market, and says she "would highly recommend attending, whether you're browsing for creative ideas or shopping." During her time at AmericasMart, Ashley scouted some of her favorite trends in Scandinavian-inspired design, natural wood, terrazzo and rattan, and sunset colors like blush, golden yellow and burnt orange. Some of her favorite finds include boho rattan lions, organic matte pastel ceramics and artwork at Bloomingville, romantic pampas grass florals at Accent Decor, and a rainbow of table linens at Bodrum Linens. Also on her official wish list, the Classic Linen Signature Candle from Greenleaf and Golden Amber Candle from Colonial Candle, and the perfect round white boho chair from UMA Home Decor.

Anissa Zajac of House Seven Design came to Market hoping to find unique looks in vintage terracotta, marble and antiqued brass. She and her husband Brian roamed the floors of AmericasMart searching for irresistible finds in their signature black, white and neutral palette, falling in love with rustic neutral ceramics and wood accessories at Bloomingville, sandalwood candles at Colonial Candle, and geometric black block print pillows from HomArt along the way. Also on their radar were the Blackberry Absinthe candle in a copper bowl from Illume, basketweave-textured ceramics from Park Hill Collection, and a chic black modern modular kitchen at etúHOME.

Lifestyle expert and blogger Landyn Hutchinson described the AmericasMart experience as truly unique, offering an endless selection that provides inspiration and the opportunity to connect with like-minded creatives. What was this stylemaker's main takeaway from market? "You can't see it all in a day," Landyn says, "you need a week here, for sure!" She came to market excited to scout the latest looks in raw woods, concrete accents, natural woven furniture, and mixed metals. While exploring our showrooms, Landyn fell in love with boldly patterned pillows at Gabby, bamboo and reclaimed wood furnishings at Creative Co-Op and cement accessories at HomArt. She also made stops at etúHOME, Bloomingville, Just Got 2 Have It!, and Linen Flax Home, seeking out the best that AmericasMart has to offer in gift, tabletop, and home decor products.
"I loved attending Shop the Show and getting the chance to be a part of something great, especially with other creatives. It was truly a unique experience to explore the market and find things that mesh with my style." -Landyn Hutchinson
Monika Hibb's AmericasMart experience was exciting and inspirational, in her words. This blogger and style maven described Market as the perfect venue for spotting upcoming trends in home decor, as she shopped the show with an eye for statement chairs in rattan and teak, French country dishware, textured wallpaper, and unique accessories. She found inspiration in a stunning bench swing at Lowcountry Originals and a fun, vintage trunk-inspired rolling suitcase from Deux Pêches in the Tango showroom. What else caught this trendsetter's eye? Monika couldn't get enough of shiny copper and rustic terracotta from Creative Co-Op, acacia wood accessories from Bloomingville, and the signature candles at Illume and Colonial Candle.
"AmericasMart has left me nothing but inspired and excited about the trends and ideas for the upcoming seasons in home decor. I can hardly wait to go back and source for our store!" -Monika Hibbs
