What would you say the mission statement for Soca Clothing is?
To provide a unique shopping experience through unmatched customer service- taking time to truly connect and engage with our customers to help them develop their own personal style and promote self confidence, worth, and value.
Do you follow a social media strategy when planning and developing content for the Soca Clothing social media channels? If so, tell us a little bit about it.
We have a great marketing team! Our CEO works with our digital content manager to develop our strategy. Everyone who plays a part in creating content follows the strategy and provides feedback. We have weekly meetings to be proactive and work towards our goals!
Have you ever partnered with an Influencer/ Blogger? If so, who + tell us a little about your partnership.
We have partnered with many influencers/bloggers. One of our first partnerships was with Christina from New Darlings. At the time, she only had 13k followers. Now in 2019, she has reached 450k. She was so sweet and we really enjoyed working with her! Since then, we have partnered with girls such as Baskin Champion- model/influencer from Birmingham who now lives in Los Angeles, Danielle Maltby- Bachelor contestant from season 21, Lindsey Lutz from @lifelutzurious, and many more! We have done everything from Q+A style blog posts, having them do in store appearances for events, posting try on sessions via instagram stories from our store, etc. We like to change it up so it doesn’t feel like we are doing the same thing over and over!
What content on your blog/ Instagram do you find gets the most engagement and why do you think it resonates with your readers?
Our followers love behind the scenes content from markets and photoshoots or when I do try on sessions/ “buyer’s picks” stories on instagram. I think it helps the customer to connect with us as people, not just a store. And when I’m doing those types of stories, I like to tell the followers why I love those particular items, how I would style them, etc. I’m able to give a lot more information and product knowledge through stories rather than just a post.
What is your favorite thing about coming to Market?
After 15 years of coming to market, the thing I most enjoy is seeing all of our vendors that we have worked with for so many years. We have made such close friendships throughout the years with our vendors, so I really enjoy getting to catch up with all of them every few months!
