Tell us about Garnerstyle
Garnerstyle was started to help plus size women with developing a personal style. It has been that and so much more. Garnerstyle has helped women find not only their style but their confidence as well. I'm proud to say that Garnerstyle has been around for ten years and continues to thrive in its mission.
Where do you find your inspiration?
I love high fashion, so I find a lot of inspiration in the styles that I see celebrities wear. I'm also an avid magazine reader, so I'm always looking for inspiration in my Vogue, Elle, or Marie Claire.
What are some of your favorite brands?
My favorites right now are JIBRI, Loft, Rue107, Eloquii, and Premme.
What’s hot in fashion now? What’s not?
Suits and sets are hot right now. They offer versatility if you break them up and give you a fantastic monochrome look when they are together.
I think the time of the cold shoulder blouse has dawned. HA! It's time to let them go.
What is your go-to fashion item?
I have a pair of Chanel hoop earrings that I can pop on and turn it from simple to fabulous.
What is the best thing that you did for your business last year?
I hired a CPA. It's nice to have that off my plate, and I am more aware of my monthly income and spending.
What’s on deck for the rest 2018? Beyond?
I have theCURVYcon 2018 coming up during fashion week. theCURVYcon is a great time, and we have so many surprises in store. Beyond that, I am also looking to creating a shapewear line. I'm not satisfied with what's out there, and I'd like to try and design something better.
