My biggest fashion inspirations are Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor. I’m a huge fan of decade fashion, and love that these trends show up over and over again in different ways across generations. Each of these style icons tested the limits of fashion expectations of their time, and they weren’t afraid to take risks. From high waist swimsuits, to cat eye sunglasses, bold lipstick and accessory glam, you’ll often see me rocking some of their most famous trends around town.
What would you say the mission statement for your blog is? What drives you to create content for your readers?
I hope my blog teaches women that they do not have to be defined by any one ‘style.’ My fashion inspiration is preppy, colorful, boho, romantic, edgy and classic all at the same time. More than anything, my blog is an everyday style, inspiration destination for women who want to look and feel good in what they are wearing regardless of the many hats they wear in a day.
What is one project or partnership you’ve done that you’re most proud of?
I was one of a couple influencers that partnered with Ketel One on the launch of their new botanical line of vodkas. The brand used their social media campaign to create awareness around their product, and it was the first time I stepped out of the box and created visionary content around a product. It was my highest performing campaign of all time, and the brand reported record-breaking ROI and sales conversion performance. Following the success of the campaign, Ketel One re-signed me for phase two of their botanical campaign during the holidays this past year.
What content on your blog/Instagram do you find gets the most engagement and why do you think it resonates with your readers?
The content that performs best on my page are outfits I wear when I travel. I feel most inventive and creative when I travel, and I love styling outfits around different travel destinations and new backdrops. My audience definitely recognizes that and rewards content that is eye-catching and aligns well with my brand.
What are the 3 must-have items in your closet that you could never part ways with and why are they so special to you?
Burberry Jacket - It was the first designer item I ever owned, and it was given to me as a gift from my mom when I was in high school. It remains one of the most classic pieces I have in my closet, and I always find myself wearing it every time cold-weather rolls around.
Michelle Watch – It was given to me as a gift on the day I graduated college, and it is a memento of all the hard work put in to my education. I’ve worn it every day since because it goes with any outfit in my closet.
My under $100 boyfriend jeans – A more practical and less sentimental piece in my closet, I always find myself reaching for these when I wear something a little more than yoga pants and a white tee. They have a way of stepping up any simple outfit, and I probably wear them a couple times a week.
