Press Registration

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Media badges for the WORLD OF PROM and the August Atlanta Apparel Market can be picked up in person at the left registration desk in the lobby of Building 3.

Media badges for The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market® that are requested by June 1 will be mailed before the Market. All other badges can be picked up at the Press and Non-Exhibiting Manufacturers desk in the lobby of Building 1.

Media will need to bring a business card with press credentials, which includes (but not limited to):

  • Masthead from publication with his/her name and title
  • Recent article in a publication with his/her byline
  • Letter of assignment for a publication (relevant to “freelance” reporters)
  • Press I.D.

Business cards will not be accepted as the only form of media identification for onsite registration. Approved media registered onsite will be able to register for courses/seminars/luncheons if they are not sold-out.

Press Credentials

All members of the working press must register and present valid credentials.

Media must register for every Market they would like to attend. Previous attendance does not guarantee admittance into AmericasMart Markets.

AmericasMart offers two types of media badges: Media Editorial and Media Sales.

Media Editorial Qualifications

Qualified media representatives must present a valid business card (with individual's name, title and the name of an approved media outlet) and a copy of the publication.

Bloggers must present proof of an existing site with relevant editorial content and proof of readership/reach. Additional information may be requested.

Freelance writers and photographers must present a letter of assignment from an approved outlet.

Freelance writers or columnists not on an assignment must provide a copy of an industry-relevant bylined article, published within the past six months in an approved media outlet.

Media Sales Qualifications

Qualified media representatives must present a valid business card (with individual's name, title and the name of an approved media outlet) and a copy of the publication.

Editorial Photographers

Editors/reporters planning to bring a camera to shoot pictures during the show must contact Chelsea Peabody at cpeabody@americasmart.com to receive photography credential information.

Who qualifies for Press Registration?

Editorial and sales staff members of approved print, online and broadcast outlets may register as working press.

Eligibility is subject to approval by AmericasMart Atlanta.

Who does NOT qualify for Press Registration?
  • All non-editorial employees and/or representatives
  • Marketing personnel (PR, creative services, etc.)
  • Writers & Publishers of personal or corporate newsletters
  • Family members of legitimate media
  • Book authors’ eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • Non-eligible representatives (defined above) are required to register as Attendees.
  • However, PR representatives must register as an Exhibitor. A business card and proof of client relationship with an exhibiting manufacturer will be required.

On-site Press Room

We’ve prepared a media lounge for your comfort and convenience, complete with Wi-Fi and comfortable seating to conduct your business during market.

There is no address for the press room. Exhibitors may drop off press kits during the hours of operation only. All materials not retrieved by the last day of operation will be discarded after Market.

Hours: Tuesday, July 7 – Sunday, July 12: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 13: 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The On-site Press Room/Media Center is open to registered press/media only. The on-site press room is only open during the January Gift, July Gift and Atlanta Apparel markets. Please register online to attend as press or media.
