Largest Apparel Market On East Coast Gets Even Bigger, Expands Contemporary, Special Occasion Product Offering

ATLANTA, July 2007—The breadth of AmericasMart Atlanta’s product offerings will expand this August during the Women’s and Children’s Apparel/Accessories Market and the Nation’s #1 Prom Market. The largest apparel market on the East Coast takes place August 18—21, 2007, continuing with its Saturday—Tuesday day pattern.

A traditionally strong market for prom, bridal, pageantry, Quinceañera and social occasion, AmericasMart has opened an additional space on the first floor exhibit hall of Building 3—an expansion of the 10th floor—to accommodate the growing demand for special occasion product. The August market will also have a heavy emphasis on contemporary with the grand opening of NY/LA Co-Op North on the 9th floor, an extension of the East and West Co-Ops. AmericasMart will also host several ribbon cuttings throughout market for new showrooms and showroom expansions.

Continuing its commitment to enhancing buyers’ and exhibitors’ experience, AmericasMart has scheduled events and fashion shows throughout the market. The FirstLOOK fashion show featuring special occasion (prom, bridal, pageantry, Quinceañera and social) takes place Saturday night and starts at 6 p.m.

AmericasMart is also sponsoring an exclusive party for buyers on Sunday night at the Hard Rock Café, hosted by Elmer Ave, an AmericasMart PREMIERE® exhibitor. In addition, AmericasMart presents “Style in Bloom” at the Atlanta Botanical Garden on Monday at 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy an evening reminiscent of one of life’s most anticipated events. The party will also include food, beverages, music and tours at Atlanta’s most treasured Garden.

Market closes Tuesday, August 20, at 3 p.m. (select showrooms stay open until 6 p.m.).
