ATLANTA, November 2006—The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market® Market Temporaries—the nation’s number-one collection of temporary product, featuring the largest temporary offering in AMERICASMART history with more than 410,000 square feet of space—grow even stronger in January 2007 with the addition of a new signature category, Coastal Lifestyles Collection®, the relocation of Pampered Pets to a larger, distinctly original new home, and the participation of several world-renowned exhibitors in HIGH DESIGN.

Fueling January market momentum is the debut of the Coastal Lifestyles Collection, a unique new product mix that invites retailers to create a haven and furnish it with the distinctive elements that make it both eclectic and extraordinary. The almost 6,000 square foot collection will feature furniture and décor with an intrinsically coastal flair, including painted indoor/outdoor furniture and furnishings, wall art, tabletop, area rugs, whimsical accessories and much more. Housed in AMERICASMART 1, floor 2—in the former home of Pampered Pets—Coastal Lifestyles is conveniently situated adjacent to High Country Lodge, Distinctly American and the Gardens. It now completes a fully merchandised product collection positioned to inspire and to satisfy growing consumer taste for product that is as beautiful and luxurious as it is comfortable and versatile.

New Coastal Lifestyle exhibitors include: Design Legacy, Chaba Décor, Nantucket Window and Coast Lamps.

Also new for January 2007 is the expansion of Pampered Pets, a burgeoning and increasingly popular category, which moves from its previous home in AMERICASMART 1, floor 2, to its new and larger, stand-alone home in AMERICASMART 2, floor 3.

Opening its doors almost 10 years ago, the new home of Pampered Pets allows for more space for the collection’s approximately 80 booths which house the product that captures the popularity, creativity and buying power of products designed specifically for pets. Conveniently located between AMERICASMART 1 and 3 and on the 3rd floor of the nation’s largest wholesale gift marketplace, Pampered Pets will enjoy tremendous buyer cross over and traffic.

“With an estimated $40 billion spent in 2005, the pet industry has become an increasingly lucrative business,” states Elizabeth Turnipseed, senior sales manager of tradeshows. “Consumers are eager to buy products for their pets that coordinate with the existing décor in their homes and our exhibitors are listening. It’s no longer just about doggie apparel. Its high-end, high-fashion crates and beds, wall art and lighting, customized jewelry, gourmet products and more.”

Also taking center stage this January is HIGH DESIGN and its spectacular lineup of world-renowned exhibitors, including Jonathan Adler, Peacock Alley, notNeutral, Keena and Angela Adams to name just a few. New to the Market Temporaries, these exhibitors will open their doors and product lines to the world’s specialty retailers.
