AmericasMart’s Children’s WorldSM is set for continued growth as AmericasMart’s Building Two West Wing’s 2008 debut allows for additional square footage. The expansion paves the way for the development of a new floor, featuring 80,000 square feet of exhibit space, in Building Three, floor 14, for the exclusive use of children’s general product showrooms. The added space continues a growth curve that introduced AmericasMart’s Children’s World in 2005 and better serves the burgeoning trend of cross-merchandising product in both children’s apparel boutiques and gift shops.
Currently comprised of 200,000 square feet of permanent showrooms and temporary collections—and spanning more than 100 showrooms and 250* temporary exhibitors— AmericasMart’s Children’s World is the nation’s first and largest product center that combines children’s apparel and high-end juvenile product all under one roof.
At full occupancy, Building Three will house two contiguous floors of children’s product, including furniture and home accessories, infant, children’s and t’ween apparel, shoes and fashion accessories, toys and plush, gift, and art in traditional, contemporary and high-design styling. Additionally, children’s temporary exhibitors will assume new space on floor three of Building Three during AmericasMart’s five annual Apparel Markets.
With the move of Children’s World to floor 14, The Gourmet Gallery and the Gift & Resort Center will relocate to Building Two West Wing.
AmericasMart’s Building Two West Wing is a landmark 1.5 million-square-foot expansion housing tradeshow exhibit halls and permanent showrooms in a spectacular environment fusing space, sight and sound. The expansion marks AmericasMart’s continuing growth as the nation’s preferred home, gift and apparel marketplace which, at Building Two West Wing’s completion, will enclose more than 7.7 million square feet of space housing the world’s largest single product collection.
AmericasMart’s Children’s WorldSM is a diverse product center that offers a comprehensive mix of children’s apparel and accessories, juvenile product, gifts, maternity, bedding and furniture. Spanning more than 200,000 feet of permanent and temporary space, AmericasMart’s Children’s World showcases more than 1,000 lines and is open during the five annual Apparel Markets as well as the bi-annual Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market staged in January and July. The Atlanta Apparel market spans 13 floors with 550 permanent showrooms and 1,000 temporary booths showcasing more than 8,000 apparel lines. There are more than more than 50 categories of merchandise represented throughout the building.
